Does anyone know whats happened to any of our former mentors? 

I see Vicki Coward regularly, and she is exactly as you may remember her at BK.  Her daughter, Leslie, is married, and I believe she has two sons.   Lauren, her younger daughter, lives at home and works, though I do not remember where.

I have also seen Monica Deihl.  I believe she has two daughters, but I am not certain about that.  She is as sweet as ever, and to my surprise, told me that she delighted in our classroom antics. She remembered specific things we did and said, and told me that she loved teaching the girls. 

I have heard that Sr. Michelle is no longer a nun, and had taught at FCCJ.  I would really like to get in touch with her if anyone has her information.  I believe her name is Linda Martin. 

For those Assumption "kids" who had Sr. Margaret Rose, I saw her in 2006.  She is related to me through her sister's marriage, and she lives in Pawley's Island, SC.  She is just wonderful and it thrills me when I get a chance to talk to her.

Some of my fellow Bishop Kenny alums might recall principal Sister Thomas Joseph. Did you know she became a museum curator and is an accomplished Florida historian?

Since we moved on from BK, Sister Thomas Joseph McGoldrick has written a 500+ page book "Beyond the Call: The Legacy of the Sisters of St. Joseph of St. Augustine, Florida" and also appeared as herself in the documentary "America's Untold Journey" about the African American experience beginning in 1565 Spanish Florida. The last time I was in contact with her, a few years ago, she was a museum curator in Saint Augustine.  She turns 91 in August.
